THE PROJECT
Our goal is to save ship from being scrapped and then take her to
Europe and restore her to her original appearance. At the dock in
Europe, the ship shall serve as homes, hotels, student accommodation
and temporary refugee accommodation.
On board are also conference facilities, restaurants, a small theatre
and different spa facilities.
The MS Kungsholm is a strong historic symbol, as it is the last
remaining ship that served Swedish American Line, one of the
major shipping companies serving the nearly two million emigrants
from Scandinavia who crossed the Atlantic heading for North America
in the 1800s and 1900s. On board the Kungsholm shall thus be a museum.
Currently, the vessel is in Alang, India. She is very well
maintained and meets all requirements placed on a floating hotel.
